Little Oke Dolls began in 2009, whilst living in a small cottage in the heart of rural Devon, every room crammed with fabrics, wool stuffing and yarns. In 2010 we moved into a larger house nearer to the town of Newton Abbot and this allowed me to have my own workshop in our home. There are now plans for us to move into the back of my partner's veterinary practice in the town centre of Newton Abbot giving the space to hold workshops and sewing groups, teaching people the craft of waldorf dolls and to increase interest in smocking, knitting and needle felting.
Having had 4 children, finding the time to enjoy my crafts, which ranged from crochet to miniature embroidery, was difficult but there were not many evenings that I would not be found doing something, I happened upon waldorf dolls back in 2008, and immediately got hooked. Finding the materials in the UK was difficult and this prompted me to start my own online shop. With the help and experience from doll makers such as Joy Chambers from Washington State in the USA and others I have been able to gain knowledge and experience in this craft.
My aim is to offer a friendly and professional service to crafters and doll makers from all over the world supplying them with high quailty products.
Best wishes to you all
